Donaries (Dino) Hair
Director Food Service
Donaries “ Dino” Hair was born on January 23, 1987, in Picayune Mississippi. He played basketball for the Picayune Memorial High School, earning him a scholarship at Middle Tennessee State University. Here he earned his bachelor’s degree in health education. After college, Dino played a year of semi-pro in Atlanta.
Dino was approached by the superintendent of the Southern Schools in Mississippi with a teaching job at his hometown school Picayune Memorial Jr. High. There he started teaching behavior modification, and coaching and developed a love for the kids in his community.
Cooking has always been a part of him since a kid and it soon caught up to him. After 4 years of teaching, he decided to take a break and go into the food industry to follow his heart while still young. He started working for a portion control food company where he learned the system and moved up to assistant GM in a little over 2 years, helping them run the place and keep it in order. After that, he became a fry cook in a fast-paced kitchen in Louisiana called Walk On’s where he could show some of his other Southern cooking skills and learn new things.
His love for food has led him all the way to Portland Oregon where he ended up running into Will Warren of, I’m Hooked Inc at a music event. They shared their stories and found a lot of similarities. Dino’s love for food and helping kids was something that Will Warren knew that he would love to have in his organization, and the rest is history.
